If All the World Were a Blackbird
DATE: February 18 — May 19, 2010 VENUE: Le Poisson Rouge ADDRESS: 158 Bleecker Street, New York, NY TIME: 5:00 PM TICKET INFO: Free
Hungarian Brooklyn-based artist Edina Tokodi will have her first solo exhibition at Le Poisson Rouge's gallery, entitled: If All the World Were a Blackbird. As a public artist, Tokodi tries to bring her audience elements that are lacking in their every day lives, putting her own twist on mixing the urban and the natural in her work. "I think that our distance from nature is already a cliche...I believe that if everyone had a garden of their own to cultivate, we would have a much more balanced relation to our territories...garden can be many things," explains Tokodi. Don't miss this innovative new intimate and friendly approach to art galleries.
